The only non American to have won the coveted Jack Daniels invitational World BBQ championships.
Jackie Weight has run a BBQ consultancy service for many years,
passing her knowledge and experience of low and slow BBQ cooking, external catering, meat production, and BBQ equipment.
Assisting the setup of new American Style BBQ Restaurants.
She has worked with a variety of celebrity chefs, top chefs and complete beginners, introducing them to low and slow cooking over wood.
She is proud to have been heavily involved with several new, very successful restaurants and is looking forward to passing on her knowledge and experience to many more.
Jackie is the first and to date only non-American to win the coveted ‘Grand Champion’ Title in Lynchburg Tennessee at the Jack Daniels Invitational BBQ Competition.
In her ‘barbecue life’ she has won top 10 placements in each of the four main categories at The Jack and won several ‘Ribbons’ at other contests in the USA.
In 2013 Jackie was invited to cook in the ‘Winners Circle Champion of Champions’ contest at The Jack.
Comprising of the past 24 years Grand Champions battling it out in a winner takes all cook off.
Jackie placed a very creditable 15th position overall, best placing was 2nd in the Brisket category
Jackie is a KCBS (Kansas City BBQ Society) Certified BBQ Judge,
she was Head Judge for the British BBQ Society for two years,
She was BBQ Judge at Grillstock UK and for the UKBBQ Association and other European BBQ groups.
