We began our journey to learn this new style of BBQ, cooking for our friends & families.
Although we’ve been cooking BBQ all of our life, these BBQ’s mainly involved grilling a few burgers. It was only whilst we were researching new recipe ideas that we discovered the American Style of BBQ. This is exactly the same stuff that you’ll see on Man v Food & Dinners Drive Inns & Dives. Large cuts of meat smoked over oak or hickory wood for up to 15+hrs till it’s tender.
So we began our journey to learn this new style of BBQ, cooking for our friends & families. After receiving great comments from them all, we decided to put our BBQ to the test against other Pitmasters so we entered the British BBQ Society’s Mayhem in May contest in 2011. Scooping the Best newcomer award along with a 3rd place in pork, we were hooked.
Fast forward a couple of years along with a cabinate full of trophies, we have competed at contests in the UK, Holland & the USA and taken awards at all of them.
